  1. Announcing v4.0 of Time & Chaos Professional

  3. To INSTALL this Program:
  4.  
  5. Time & Chaos REQUIRES the module VBRUN200.DLL in order to be installed and run.
  6. This DLL is common to many windows applications; as such, it is most often 
  7. distributed separately.  This is done so you do not have to download it for 
  8. each and every program.  It SHOULD be placed into the WINDOWS subdirectory on
  9. your hard disk.  If you do not have this utility already, it is available on 
  10. most BBS systems and On-Line Services.  For example, it is available on our
  11. BBS (214)530-2762 and on CompuServe (WINSHARE forum, lib #10 - filename is
  12. VBRUN2.ZIP).  Once you have this file.....
  13.     
  14.     Run the INSTALL.EXE utility included with this ZIP FILE
  15.             
  16.         By default, a new subdirectory will be created called
  17.         C:\chaos40 and all of the appropriate files will be copied
  18.         there.  It will also create a new Program Manager Group and
  19.         ICON for you.  To run the program, just double click on the
  20.         Time & Chaos ICON, as you would any windows program.

  23. UPGRADING INFORMATION:
  24.  
  25.     If you are upgrading from a previous version of Time & Chaos.  It is
  26.     important that you understand the following point:
  27.  
  28.         Time & Chaos will be installed to a different subdirectory
  29.         than before.  
  30.  
  31.         As such, your datafiles will need to be COPIED to the new
  32.         subdirectory.  You can do this by copying your old datafiles
  33.         to the new subdirectory.

  35.         You must copy:
  36.  
  37.         Appt.isd
  38.         Appt.isf
  39.         Appt.ism
  40.         Appt.isp (only if you have one)
  41.  
  42.         ToDoList.isd
  43.         ToDoList.isf
  44.         ToDoList.ism
  45.  
  46.         PhoneBk.isd
  47.         PhoneBk.isf
  48.         PhoneBk.ism
  49.  
  50.         YPhoneBk.isd
  51.         YPhoneBk.isf
  52.         YPhoneBk.ism
  53.  
  54.         OR....
  55.  
  56.         
  57.         A simple DOS command:  COPY C:\CHAOS\*.IS* C:\CHAOS40

  59. The first time that you start the new version. It will ask you if it is OK to
  60. convert your datafiles to the new format.  Once, you convert these files they
  61. may NOT be used with a previous version of Time & Chaos, so DO NOT DELETE your
  62. old datafiles until you are sure that you love the new version.

  65. for $14.95/user.  If you ordered Time & Chaos AFTER MAY 1, 1993 then we will
